The Eggs Are Here

The Chickens are now laying there beautiful eggs! Yea, we hope this means they will continue to lay through the winter. Aren't they pretty, we think so.
We had another chicken murder happen about two weeks ago.
Navy was playing with CJ's chicken, Bar None and her head popped off. I have always been told it did not take much and Rodeo said it happened so fast.
The story goes something like this... Rodeo was in the playroom and he said he heard some wierd Navy noises and so he looked outside and found Navy playing roughly with Bar None. All we saw was Rodeo running from the playroom to the backyard as fast as he could and then he started screaming "EMERGENCY, EMERGENCY!" We ran out to see what he was screaming about but it was too late. Bar None had passed away.
Rodeo was pretty mad a Navy. We don't think that Navy intended to kill Bar None we think it was an accident because he has never been very aggressive towards them (that we are aware of, except for when he likes to heard them around).
Rodeo had a very sharp talk with Navy and he told Navy that he would not speak to him ever again unless he started speaking Human because he just could not understand why Navy would hurt one of the girls.
We had a funeral and a nice prayer for Bar None. She will be missed and so will her eggs. Daddy decided he would let CJ help him take care of Lucky Pecker now since CJ no longer has his own chicken.
Navy is no longer aloud outside alone with the chickens because now he has the taste of chicken blood.
Rodeo and Navy have worked it out and they are friends again at least until Navy does something else wrong.

I'm sorry about Bar None, but at least you have a Lucky Pecker. :)
