September 1st = Dove Season Opens

Every year Dad goes dove hunting on opening day and there was no exception for this year. This year he took along his bird dog's HJ and WC and they did a great job. They got up really early and put all of there camo on, wranglers, hats, and boots. They each took there guns and were ready. They had a great morning.
We all decided to go out again that evening. It was hot but we had a good breeze. The dove were flying really fast (faster than normal.) HJ had a good time, he practiced shooting his BB gun and sat and waited for the birds to come in. WC and CJ ran around and practiced shooting WC's gun. They tried to catch the huge grasshoppers and did a fair job. They all did a great job of listening to Dad when he would say "Get down", they would cover there ears and hit the deck. CJ got really good at this but when he was done he was done. He let us all know he was done by yelling "Chocolate Milk, CHOCOLATE MILK!" So we had to wrap it up. Here are a few of the pics from the evening.

Such a serious face!

What are those two discussing? I can only imagine ~ can't you?

Momma and CJ.
I am trying to convince him he does not need any "Chocolate Milk" right now.

Everyone looks great in their camo! You're raising a family of Davey Crocketts. And who doesn't want a big glass of chocolate milk after a long day of hunting? :-)
